Despite only being at Linwood House for 10 days, the experience has been invaluable. With the help of staff, therapists and peers I believe I have tools to help me continue with my sobriety. Listening to others and being honest with them and myself has put things in perspective. Added bonus - the food was great!!
I am a current addict staying at Linwood House, the support and compassion I have received from both my peers and staff have been nothing but rewarding and have had a massive impact on my mental state, which gives me a sense of comfort and allows me to understand that a successful recovery is possible for me personally. On arrival, I was terrified and didn't know what to expect, causing me to go in to panic mode, the staff were so reassuring and on hand 24 hours a day. I couldn't praise the place or the staff anymore, from the cleaning staff to the admin team to the therapists, they have been exceptional in assisting with my early stages of recovery and provided me with the skills and techniques I require when I leave. I would like to personally thank my therapist Gaynor she's really made my journey that little bit easier Thanks team Linwood keep up the great work 🙂 Jodie
I have just completed my workshop with Gaynor. The session was based around how the emotional, rational and wise mind works. It was so insightful and really helped me recognise how I had been making decisions in the past. The workshop was delivered very professionally and relatable. JUST AMAZING!
Gaynor is very good at her job and puts things in ways that I understand. I leave her sessions feeling like I gained good knowledge every time and would like to thank her very much

Linwood has helped me to do what I couldn't on my own. It truly has been a great experience. I've been medically detoxed and taught many coping techniques through a variety of medical and therapeutic interventions. I was terrified of judgement, and what I was walking into prior to my arrival. However, I was soon put at ease by the environment, staff, and my fellow peers. The staff and peers are some of the kindest and most compassionate people I have met. 28 days sober. Thank you Linwood Tom
Great staff on the whole, made to feel totally at easy with coming in after conversation with Claire the previous day. Linwood has given me everything I needed to progress and fulfill my 1st stage of recovery, leaving feeling positive about my next steps in my sobriety and setting me up for my new life with fellowship support following the 12 steps. My best support has been through talks and debate with my fellow peers. I'm looking forward to a happy future.
I have found my time at Linwood house very helpful and I believe I've learnt new skills to carry on with recovery back at home.
