In Lincolnshire, unfortunately, countless people are now battling a broad range of problems relating to or derived from substance abuse. These include behavioural addictions, eating disorders, as well as alcohol and drug dependency. If you or a loved one are looking for assistance relating to any of these, we can help. On this page you will find information about various rehabilitation and detox facilities, as well as free support group meetings.
Alcohol, cannabis, cocaine, heroin and prescription drugs are all widely available and abused throughout the county, placing a significant strain upon health and social services. Loved ones can also be permanently affected, especially if the addiction impacts upon a family’s finances. If it’s private treatment you are looking for, UKAT has a number of residential rehab centres located in close proximity of Lincolnshire for those that require immediate help with their substance misuse.
To get to the bottom of an addiction, to stop it in its tracks and address its underlying causes, the best and most immediate option is often private rehabilitation. Every day that goes by during which an addiction or substance abuse problem isn’t dealt with, the probability grows that harm will come to an addict and those around them. Keeping that probability to a minimum, eventually bringing it down to zero, and creating long-lasting solutions that will set the road to a better, happier life, are the goals of private rehab.
UKAT are proud to offer Oasis Bradford is our alcohol and drug rehab based in West Yorkshire, just 85 miles (2 hours) away.
Oasis Bradford provides a safe, supportive environment, where all residents can complete a medically supervised detox from drugs and/ or alcohol, or stabilise their use safely with medical support and within a specialist treatment setting.
We also offer free group sessions for families or anyone closely connected to the individual.
These groups provide guidance and support network built and an understanding of addiction acquired. All of which can contribute to ongoing long-term recovery for both addicts and family members.

These groups are normally focused on a specific type of addiction which separates one meeting from another. This way it’s easier for members to focus and feel their particular issues being addressed by others who share the same or similar experiences.
What is NA?
NA (Narcotics Anonymous) is a non-profit fellowship for all people whose lives have been affected by drugs. Everyone attending the group meetings is looking to abstain from drug use and to find a new way to live by following a new programme. There are no fees and everyone is welcome. Anonymity is a vital factor of the fellowship to enable everyone to attend without fear of social repercussions.
What is AA?
AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) is also a non-profit fellowship. Unlike NA, however, during their meetings, the focus is on managing alcoholism and alcohol dependencies. These meetings are held throughout the week and can be beneficial for anyone seeking help, be it for themselves or for a loved one. The AA is often regarded as the place to find out how to manage alcoholism through the 1-step therapy, although most meetings will not impose specific attitudes and practices upon newcomers.

Lincolnshire is a county found at the economic periphery of England, making it one of the areas with less-developed road infrastructures in the country. The majority of the roads are single-carriage A-roads and B-roads. There are no major motorways passing through the region. This seriously impacts the times needed to reach different points in Lincolnshire. If you are arriving, for example, in Boston from London, it will take you nearly three hours to reach Boston. You can take the M1 from London and switch to the A1(M), after which you should take exit 17 and drive on the Fletton Pkwy/A1139 toward Wisbech. From there, it’s only smaller roads to Boston.
Lincolnshire’s railway services are rather well-developed. TransPennine Express, East Midlands Trains, CrossCountry, and East Midlands Trains all operate in the county. The busiest train stations are located in Lincoln and Grantham. Using the same example as before, reaching Boston from London via railway services can take just over two hours, almost a whole hour less than if you drive. The fastest option is by taking the Liner service for York from London’s King’s Cross and then, at Grantham, switching to the East Midlands Trains service for Skegness.
lincoln serves as Lincolnshire’s local authority administrative headquarters.
