Dr Sharad Haridas
Dr Sharad Haridas is a Consultant Addiction and General Adult Psychiatrist (GMC Register - 6153079) with a distinguished career spanning the NHS and private sector. His association with UKAT commenced in April 2021, when he assumed the role of a psychiatrist at Liberty House (Luton) in 2010. In this capacity, Dr Haridas dedicates his expertise to meticulously evaluating incoming clients and devising comprehensive detoxification plans, to support their journey to recovery. He also sees them for private psychiatric assessments once their detox is complete, and if they have unresolved mental health difficulties that need further assessment and treatment.
Dr Haridas has worked as a Psychiatrist since 2010 and has been a valued UKAT contributor through his role as a reviewer. He generously imparts his profound medical knowledge to aid in the creation of precise, informative, and current content for our web pages. He leverages his extensive mental health experience to assist clients in overcoming their dependencies and guiding them towards healthier, more fulfilling lives. Additionally, he assumes pivotal roles as a Mental Health Co-Lead and Harm Reduction Lead for Glastonbury, further exemplifying his dedication to enhancing mental health awareness and promoting harm reduction strategies. In addition to this role, he continues to work in an NHS community drug service in London.
