Daniel Beswick | Admissions Coordinator

Daniel Beswick joined UKAT in 2024 as an Admissions Coordinator, bringing both professional expertise and the invaluable insight of lived experience. Having been in recovery for more than seven years, Daniel knows first-hand the courage it takes to seek help and the challenges that individuals and families face along the way. His own journey continues to inspire his work, enabling him to connect with people on a deeply human level while offering empathy, reassurance, and hope when it matters most.

For the past five years, Daniel has worked within the addiction treatment sector, supporting countless people through the difficult but transformative process of recovery. He began his career as a support worker and group facilitator, where his approachable nature and calm presence created a safe and supportive environment for healing. Later, as a counsellor at a rehabilitation facility in Thailand, Daniel deepened his skills and gained a broader perspective on treatment approaches, learning to appreciate both the cultural nuances of recovery and the universal need for compassion, patience, and tailored care.

At UKAT, Daniel is often the first voice someone hears when reaching out for support. He knows from experience how daunting it can feel to make that first call, and he considers it a privilege to be there at such a pivotal moment. For him, admissions is about much more than coordination; it is about listening without judgement, providing clear guidance, and ensuring that every person feels respected, supported, and understood from the very beginning of their journey.

Outside of work, Daniel is passionate about health and wellbeing, which he sees as essential to sustaining long-term recovery. He enjoys playing golf, staying active, and focusing on balance in both body and mind. These pursuits not only enrich his own life but also reflect the fulfilment and stability that recovery can bring.

Daniel’s story is one of resilience and growth. His seven years in recovery, combined with his professional experience in the field, give him a unique ability to inspire trust and confidence in others. At UKAT, he embodies the message that recovery is possible, making him a valued member of the team and a source of encouragement to everyone he supports.
