A Private, Personalised Approach to Recovery.

At UKAT’s Bayberry Manor, treatment is delivered in an exceptionally private countryside setting, with a highly personalised programme designed around the individual. There are no large groups of residents moving through the property, only focused, one-to-one support, in a home rather than an institution.

For international clients, the experience extends beyond treatment itself. Travel, airport transfers, business commitments, family involvement, dietary requirements and religious practice can all be considered as part of the stay.

Why choose the UK for private addiction treatment?

For people based in Dubai, travelling to the UK for addiction treatment can offer the right balance of accessibility, familiarity and separation that makes residential treatment easier to consider.

A straightforward journey from Dubai

The UK is well connected to Dubai, with frequent direct flights between the two destinations. The journey is long enough to create meaningful distance from everyday responsibilities, while remaining relatively straightforward for clients and families.

For those entering treatment, we can help coordinate the practical arrangements surrounding arrival, including airport collection and private transport directly to Bayberry Manor.

English-speaking treatment

Language does not need to become another obstacle to treatment. The UK provides an English-speaking clinical and therapeutic environment, allowing clients to communicate naturally and participate fully in their programme.

For international clients accustomed to conducting their professional and personal lives in English, this familiarity can make the transition into treatment considerably easier.

A different environment can create valuable perspective

Remaining in the same environment in which difficulties have developed can make it harder to step back from established routines.

Travelling to the UK creates a clear physical boundary between treatment and everyday life. Our countryside setting provides an opportunity to concentrate on recovery away from the constant demands of work, social commitments and familiar surroundings.

A familiar and professional environment

For Dubai-based executives, entrepreneurs, professionals and families, being in the UK can also offer a familiar cultural and professional environment.

Treatment does not have to mean putting your entire life on hold. At Bayberry Manor, arrangements can be considered around essential business commitments, with appropriate spaces available for private meetings and working where required.

Distance without isolation

There is an important distinction between getting away and becoming disconnected.

Travelling from Dubai to the UK provides enough geographical distance to step away from familiar routines, professional pressures and social environments, without putting home out of reach. With a time difference of only three to four hours, maintaining appropriate contact with family and trusted people can remain practical throughout treatment.

That balance can be particularly valuable for people whose work, responsibilities and social networks are closely intertwined with everyday life in Dubai.

Privacy matters when everyone seems to know everyone

People talk. Networks overlap. Information can travel quickly.

Dubai is a relatively small and highly connected city. From the outside, it can appear vast, but professional and social circles can overlap more closely than people realise.

For individuals who move within prominent professional, business or social networks, privacy can therefore become a genuine consideration when seeking addiction treatment.

For some clients, travelling to the UK provides a degree of separation that simply cannot be replicated by remaining within their usual environment. A private clinic with little public visibility, located away from the social circles a client ordinarily moves within, can remove much of the concern about being recognised or becoming the subject of conversation.

Bayberry Manor is deliberately private.

No external signage. No history of press coverage.
Discretion considered from the earliest stages of admissions through to arrival, treatment and departure.

There is no external signage identifying the property as a treatment centre. The setting is discreet and residential, rather than resembling a conventional medical facility. Discretion is not something clients need to ask for once they arrive; it is the foundation on which the Bayberry experience is designed.

For someone travelling from Dubai, saying that you are spending a few weeks in the UK is unlikely to invite the same curiosity as seeking treatment within a familiar local network. The purpose is simply to give clients the space to step away and focus on themselves.

Bayberry Manor at a glance

An entirely different kind of residential treatment experience

Bayberry Manor is our most private and individually tailored residential treatment experience, created for people who want an exceptional level of therapeutic attention, discretion and personal service.

Set within a Grade II listed Manor House in the Warwickshire countryside, Bayberry Manor accommodates a maximum of just four clients at any one time. There are no group therapy sessions and no standardised treatment timetable to fit into. Instead, every client receives an intensive programme of one-to-one treatment built around their individual history, circumstances, clinical needs and goals.

Maximum 4 clients

An intimate setting, with exclusive use available where required.

Bayberry Manor accommodates a maximum of four residential clients at any one time. This creates a smaller, more private environment than a traditional residential treatment setting, with greater space for individual attention and a quieter atmosphere throughout the stay.

For clients seeking complete exclusivity, the Manor can also be reserved for private use. This can provide an additional level of privacy for individuals who require particularly discreet arrangements or who wish to have the wider environment reserved for themselves and their personal support network.

Exclusive use can also provide greater flexibility for international clients who may wish to travel with members of their personal or professional support network. Any additional accommodation arrangements are considered on an individual basis and are subject to availability, suitability and the relevant requirements for the stay.

Whether staying as one of a small number of clients or choosing exclusive use of the Manor, the setting is designed to feel calm, private and personal rather than like a large residential treatment centre.

The combination of limited capacity, a private setting and the option of exclusive use allows arrangements to be considered around each client’s individual circumstances, while maintaining the discretion expected of a private treatment environment.

100% one-to-one therapy
Your treatment time belongs entirely to you.

At Bayberry Manor, we deliver therapy exclusively on a private, one-to-one basis. Your treatment time is never shared, and our therapeutic attention is never divided.

This creates the privacy, trust and depth needed to explore the experiences, relationships, behaviours and emotional patterns that may sit beneath addiction or mental health difficulties, at your own pace and in complete confidence.

With no group therapy forming part of the Manor programme, there is no expectation to discuss deeply personal experiences in front of others. Instead, each session is shaped around you: your history, your circumstances, your challenges and what you want to achieve from treatment.

The result is a more personal and focused therapeutic experience, with the time and space to go beyond the surface and concentrate on the issues that matter most to you.

3 hours of individual therapy every weekday
An exceptional level of dedicated therapeutic time.

At Bayberry Manor, clients receive three hours of dedicated one-to-one therapy every weekday, providing exceptional individual therapeutic attention throughout their stay.

This depth of contact creates the time to move beyond immediate symptoms and explore the experiences, relationships, behaviours and emotional patterns that may be contributing to addiction or mental health difficulties.

Rather than compressing complex issues into a limited appointment, therapy has the space to develop. New insights can be explored as they emerge, difficult areas can be approached at the right pace, and the programme can continually adapt to what you need from treatment.

For those with complex histories, previous treatment experiences or deeply personal issues they wish to address privately, this intensity can offer something particularly valuable: the time to be properly understood.

Three hours a day gives you the time and space to understand yourself, address what has been holding you back, and make meaningful progress.

The same dedicated team throughout your stay
Continuity creates the opportunity for deeper therapeutic work, while a multidisciplinary team provides the flexibility to respond to your individual needs.

At Bayberry Manor, each client has a dedicated lead therapist who remains involved throughout their stay, providing consistency and building a detailed understanding of their history, personality, relationships, challenges and goals. Depending on their needs, the lead therapist may provide most or all of their therapeutic work.

Where additional expertise could be beneficial, other members of our multidisciplinary team may also work alongside the lead therapist for specific areas of treatment. This collaborative approach allows us to draw on different therapeutic specialisms while maintaining a clear sense of continuity for the client.

We gather as much information as possible before admission, but the full picture often develops once someone arrives. Clients may share experiences they had not previously disclosed, or new needs may emerge as treatment progresses. Our approach allows the therapeutic team to respond to these developments rather than requiring every client to follow the same predetermined combination of practitioners.

The lead therapist remains the consistent point of contact, while the wider team can be brought in where their particular expertise may add value. This means treatment is shaped around the individual, with the right combination of therapeutic support determined by their needs rather than by practitioner availability or internal logistics.

Medical and clinical support
Premium care means clinical quality and personal comfort.

Bayberry Manor combines its private residential environment with professional medical and therapeutic support.

Clients receive a doctor-led assessment on admission, with medical oversight throughout their stay. Where a medically managed detox is clinically required, this can form part of the residential treatment programme.

Therapeutic and medical needs are considered together so that treatment can respond to the complete individual rather than focusing on addiction or mental health in isolation.

The surroundings may feel far removed from a traditional clinical environment, but the importance placed on clinical care remains fundamental.

Bespoke chef-prepared dining
Dining shaped around you.

At Bayberry Manor, personalisation extends to every part of your stay, including what you eat. Meals are freshly prepared by our chef with your individual tastes, preferences and dietary requirements in mind. Rather than adapting to a fixed or institutional menu, dining is tailored around you, creating an experience that feels considered, flexible and distinctly personal.

Whether you have specific nutritional requirements, particular dietary preferences or simply foods you enjoy, our team takes the time to understand what works for you and incorporate this into your stay.

Allergies, intolerances, specific nutritional requirements or personal food preferences can be discussed before and during the stay.

Hotel-style housekeeping
The everyday details are taken care of.

At Bayberry, the everyday practicalities of residential life are handled with the same level of care and attention as the treatment itself.

Clients benefit from hotel-style housekeeping, laundry and day-to-day support, with bedrooms and shared spaces maintained to a consistently high standard throughout their stay.

There is no need to think about domestic responsibilities or the small tasks that can interrupt time for rest, reflection and recovery. Instead, the Manor provides a calm, well-cared-for environment where comfort and discretion are part of the experience.

Wellbeing beyond the therapy room
Personalised wellbeing, with the same individual attention as your treatment.

Your physical wellbeing, energy, routine and time to restore are all considered as part of the wider residential experience. Clients have access to our on-site gym, where sessions with a personal trainer can be arranged around individual ability, preferences and goals. Training takes place privately at the Manor, allowing fitness and movement to become part of the programme without the need to leave the comfort and discretion of the setting.

For those who would like additional facilities, Manor clients also benefit from premium membership at a nearby leisure centre, offering the flexibility to make use of further gym, swimming and leisure facilities during their stay.

Alongside nutritious chef-prepared meals, restorative sleep, time outdoors and the opportunity to establish healthier routines, this creates a more rounded approach to recovery.

Treatment designed around your life

For many people travelling internationally for treatment, the practical side of stepping away from normal life can feel almost as daunting as treatment itself.

Bayberry’s bespoke programme takes a more flexible approach.

Business commitments

We can work with clients to accommodate essential business arrangements during their stay. The Manor includes spaces that can be used for private meetings, allowing clients to deal with important matters without returning to their usual environment.

Recovery needs to remain the priority, however, recognising that some clients have businesses, teams, investments or senior responsibilities that cannot simply disappear for several weeks is part of providing genuinely personalised care.

Religious & cultural needs

For clients travelling from Dubai and the wider Middle East, faith, culture and personal routines may be an important part of everyday life. At Bayberry Manor, we take these considerations into account wherever possible, supporting clients to maintain the practices and routines that are meaningful to them while they focus on their recovery.

Clients can pray privately in the spacious bedrooms, providing a quiet and discreet setting for personal prayer and reflection. Where clients wish to worship outside the Manor, our team can also assist with arrangements to attend a local mosque, church or another place of worship according to their individual faith and preferences.

We can also consider relevant cultural, dietary and day-to-day requirements as part of the residential experience, helping clients feel respected and comfortable without unnecessarily disrupting the routines and practices that are important to them.

What does Bayberry Manor treat?

People seek support for many different reasons. For some, this may be addiction or dependency. For others, it may be anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, relationship difficulties or the effects of prolonged stress. Sometimes several of these concerns have become connected over time. Others may simply recognise that something in their life is no longer working and want professional support to understand why and make meaningful changes.

At Bayberry Manor, treatment is not defined by a diagnosis alone. We work with people experiencing a broad range of psychological, emotional, behavioural and relationship difficulties, whether or not an addiction is present.

Every client undergoes a comprehensive clinical and therapeutic assessment. This helps us understand their history, current circumstances, relationships, patterns of behaviour, mental health and personal goals. From there, we develop an individual treatment programme based on what they need from their time at Bayberry Manor.

This may include therapy, psychiatric support, coaching and motivation, psychosexual or relationship therapy, treatment for addiction and dependency, or a combination of approaches.

We do not assign a standard programme based on a diagnosis alone. Treatment is individual, considered and shaped around the person receiving it.

Alcohol addiction and dependency
Alcohol dependency can develop gradually and may remain hidden, particularly when someone continues to function at work, socially or within family life.

Where alcohol has become difficult to control or is affecting someone’s physical or emotional wellbeing, treatment can address both the dependency itself and the factors contributing to it.

Where clinically required, medically managed detoxification can form part of the residential programme. Therapy can then explore drinking patterns, triggers, stress, relationships and the role alcohol has come to play in daily life.

Drug addiction and dependency
We support clients experiencing dependency on substances including cocaine, cannabis, heroin, ketamine and other drugs.

Treatment considers the circumstances surrounding drug use, including patterns of behaviour, emotional wellbeing, relationships and factors that may be making change difficult.

Where clinically required, detoxification or medical support can form part of the programme, alongside therapeutic work focused on longer-term recovery.

Prescription drug dependency
Dependency on prescribed medication can develop following treatment for pain, anxiety, sleep problems or other legitimate medical needs.

We support dependency involving medications including benzodiazepines, prescription opioids and sleeping medication.

Where appropriate, treatment may include supervised reduction or medical support, alongside work exploring the physical, emotional, behavioural and psychological factors surrounding dependency.

Behavioural addictions and compulsive behaviours
Not all dependencies involve a substance. Behavioural patterns can also become difficult to control and begin to affect relationships, work, finances or emotional wellbeing.

Bayberry Manor provides residential treatment for behavioural addictions including gambling, pornography, and sex and love addiction.

Individual therapy provides a private setting to explore compulsive behaviours, their triggers and the emotional or relational patterns connected to them.

Anxiety
Anxiety can affect sleep, relationships, confidence, decision-making and the ability to switch off. For some people, substances, medication or compulsive behaviours may become ways of managing difficult thoughts and feelings. For others, anxiety may be the primary reason for seeking support.

Treatment explores the individual’s experience of anxiety, including its underlying causes, how it affects daily life and the coping strategies that have developed around it.

Depression
Depression can affect motivation, relationships, work, sleep and self-worth. It may occur alongside substance use or other difficulties, but it does not have to.

Where clinically appropriate, Bayberry Manor can provide support for depression with or without a co-occurring addiction. Treatment considers the individual’s emotional experiences, history, circumstances and goals, rather than focusing solely on symptoms.

Trauma and PTSD
Trauma can affect relationships, emotional regulation, self-esteem and the ways a person responds to distress. Its effects can remain significant long after the original experience.

Bayberry Manor provides trauma-informed support for people experiencing the effects of trauma or PTSD, with sensitive experiences approached carefully and at an appropriate pace.

Where addiction or dependency is also present, treatment can consider how the two may be connected without treating one as the cause of the other.

Burnout and executive stress
Sustained professional responsibility, high expectations and prolonged pressure can have a significant impact on emotional wellbeing, sleep, relationships and decision-making.

Bayberry Manor provides support for burnout and executive stress, including for individuals who may be experiencing intense professional or personal demands without identifying with a mental health or addiction diagnosis.

Treatment creates space to step away from those pressures and understand what is contributing to exhaustion, reduced motivation or difficulty switching off. Coaching, therapy and practical work can help individuals consider boundaries, motivation, priorities and the changes needed beyond their stay.

Stress and emotional wellbeing
Stress can become difficult to manage when pressures continue without sufficient time for recovery. It can affect sleep, concentration, relationships, mood and physical wellbeing.

Treatment at Bayberry Manor can provide an opportunity to understand the sources of stress and develop healthier ways of responding to them, whether or not addiction or another mental health difficulty is present.

OCD and compulsive behaviour
Obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviours can have a significant impact on daily life, relationships and emotional wellbeing. In some cases, people may also use alcohol, medication, drugs or other behaviours to manage anxiety or intrusive thoughts.

Bayberry Manor provides individualised support for OCD and related difficulties, with or without a co-occurring addiction.

Mood disorders and emotional regulation
Changes in mood and difficulty regulating emotions can affect relationships, behaviour, work and everyday decision-making.

Where mood difficulties occur alongside addiction or dependency, Bayberry Manor considers both within the wider clinical picture. Specialist psychiatric input may be included where appropriate.

Relationships and psychosexual wellbeing
Relationships, intimacy and sexual wellbeing can have a significant influence on emotional health and quality of life. Difficulties in these areas may arise from relationship breakdown, communication problems, past experiences, sexual concerns or patterns of behaviour that have become difficult to manage.

Bayberry Manor provides private, sensitive support for relationship and psychosexual concerns. Individual therapy can provide a confidential environment to explore these issues at a pace comfortable to the individual.

Where relevant, relationship difficulties can also be considered alongside mental health concerns, behavioural patterns or addiction.

Coaching and motivation
Not everyone who comes to Bayberry Manor is looking for treatment for a specific diagnosis. Some people may recognise that they are at a point of transition, feel stuck in established patterns or want support to make significant changes in their personal or professional life.

Coaching and motivational work can help individuals clarify what they want to change, understand what may be holding them back and develop greater confidence in taking practical steps forward.

This can form part of a wider treatment programme or be incorporated alongside therapeutic support, depending on the individual’s needs.

Co-occurring difficulties
Different areas of a person’s life rarely exist in isolation. Addiction may occur alongside anxiety, depression or trauma, while burnout may affect relationships and emotional wellbeing. Equally, someone may seek support for mental health, relationships, stress or personal development without having an addiction at all.

At Bayberry Manor, the assessment process allows these connections to be understood rather than assuming that one diagnosis explains everything. Treatment can therefore address multiple areas at once, with or without a co-occurring addiction.

Complex presentations
People do not always arrive with a single diagnosis or clearly defined problem. They may be experiencing a combination of stress, burnout, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, dependency, grief, emotional challenges or the effects of previous treatment.

Bayberry Manor’s individual approach allows the programme to respond to the person as a whole. As treatment progresses and a clearer understanding of their circumstances develops, the focus can be adjusted to address the areas that matter most to their wellbeing and longer-term goals.

More than treating addiction

The purpose of residential treatment is not simply to stop someone from drinking or using drugs. It is to understand why the addiction developed, what maintains it, and what needs to change for recovery to last.

Treatment may explore areas including:

  • Addiction and dependency
  • Coping mechanisms
  • Relapse triggers
  • Self-esteem and confidence
  • Life after treatment
  • Emotional wellbeing
  • Relationships and family dynamics
  • Stress and pressure
  • Work and professional expectations
  • Behavioural patterns

“Lasting recovery depends on understanding not only the addiction, but what has been driving and sustaining it.”

What happens after treatment?

Leaving Bayberry Manor is not the end of the work. Returning home means returning to familiar relationships, responsibilities, professional pressures and everyday routines. For international clients, including those returning to Dubai, the transition may also mean adjusting to demanding professional and social environments after time away.

For this reason, planning for life after treatment begins during a client’s stay. Before leaving the Manor, clients can work with their therapist to identify potential challenges, consolidate the progress they have made and establish a clear plan for maintaining their wellbeing after discharge.

Depending on their needs and circumstances, this may include continuing therapy, a planned handover to a local therapist, or returning to Bayberry Manor for further support at a later stage.

Continuing therapy online

Clients may be able to continue working with their Bayberry therapist online for a short period after returning home. This can provide continuity during the initial transition, when familiar pressures and responsibilities are being reintroduced.

Online sessions are arranged separately from the residential programme and are typically provided in blocks of 10 sessions, with a maximum of 30 sessions. Our preference is to keep this period focused and purposeful, helping clients consolidate the work completed at Bayberry before transitioning to longer-term support where needed.

Online therapy may include:

  • Scheduled one-to-one therapy sessions
  • Reviewing progress following discharge
  • Consolidating strategies developed during treatment
  • Support with relationships, family life and professional pressures
  • Working through challenges that arise after returning home
  • Preparing for a transition to longer-term local support

Transitioning to local support

For clients who would benefit from longer-term therapy, Bayberry can support a planned handover to an appropriate therapist or practitioner closer to home.

This can help maintain continuity while giving clients access to ongoing support within their local healthcare system. Where possible, relevant information from treatment can be shared as part of the transition, with the client’s consent.

Returning to Bayberry

Some clients choose to return to Bayberry Manor after completing their initial treatment. A return visit can provide an opportunity to revisit previous therapeutic work, address new challenges, consolidate progress or simply take time to reset before difficulties become more established.

For returning clients who are already known to the team, stays may be shorter than an initial residential programme and can begin from around one week, depending on individual circumstances.

These return stays may include:

  • Refresher treatment
  • Therapeutic check-ins
  • Consolidating previous treatment
  • Support during periods of increased personal or professional pressure
  • Revisiting strategies that have become harder to maintain
  • Time and space to regain perspective and focus on wellbeing

The aim is not to repeat the original programme unnecessarily, but to build on the understanding and progress established during a client’s previous stay.

Begin your conversation confidentially

Our Admissions Team will take the time to understand what has been happening, answer your questions and help you consider whether Bayberry Manor is the right place for treatment. You do not need a diagnosis, a treatment plan or certainty about what happens next. Every enquiry is handled with discretion and without pressure.
