UK Addiction Treatment Centres – Referral Programme
Working with professionals to provide a top level service for all clients
At UKAT, we offer a comprehensive treatment programme for those struggling with addiction. Our fully trained professional staff have experience and knowledge in all areas of addiction and our programme has been designed with the individual patient in mind at all times. We want to make sure that as many people as possible are able to access effective treatments to help them overcome their addictive and compulsive behaviours.
We would like to reassure you, as a professional, that any client you refer to UKAT will receive the highest standard of care and support throughout the treatment process. Our reputation for success speaks for itself and is the main reason so many clients contact us to help them conquer their addictions.
For peace of mind for all concerned, we have a dedicated team that will work closely alongside you and your client to ensure that their needs come first. Our priority is patient care and, as such, we are confident that our programme will benefit the requirements of both you and your client. Our compassionate and caring staff provide a top level service in safe and secure surroundings so that your client will feel comfortable and at ease when recovering from addiction in a UKAT facility.
To discuss our programme and how it will benefit your client, call our Admissions team today. They are on hand to answer any queries you may have as well as to provide more details regarding the programme and how it is the right choice for you and your client. By calling and talking with our professional and friendly staff, we can guarantee that you will feel one hundred per cent comfortable with your decision before you make a referral to UKAT.
How to Make a Referral to UKAT
We know that you have already established a professional relationship with your client and will have assessed his or her situation before making any referral. We believe this connection between you and your client is very important and should be continued. For that reason, we will work with you during referral and treatment to ensure that your client is completely comfortable throughout the process.
For those who wish to make a referral to UKAT, simply contact our Admissions team and they will begin the process with you. During this phone call, we will ask for details of your client and will require information relating to the assessment your team has carried out.
Once it has been agreed that admission is appropriate for your client, we will make arrangements for this to happen as soon as possible. This will include admission date, administration, finance, and travel. If a family member would prefer to make these arrangements with us, they can call directly on +44 2039 496 584
Once admission has been arranged and your client has arrived with us, we will contact you (with the consent of your client). We believe it is important for you to maintain a connection with your client, particularly since your client will be returned to your clinical care upon discharge from UKAT.
You can expect the call from our Admissions team within hours of the arrival of your client. The call is not only intended to inform you of your client’s arrival, but also to provide you with information regarding the primary counsellor assigned to your client. Please note that if your client arrives overnight or during the weekend, we will endeavour to contact you either first thing the following morning or on Monday morning if it were a weekend arrival.
You will also receive a call from the primary counsellor within forty-eight hours, at which time you can discuss your requirements in relation to how you would like to be informed of your client’s progress. You can also take this opportunity to discuss aftercare options for your client if you wish. We will also make sure that this information is confirmed with you in writing either by email or letter following on from your discussions with the primary counsellor.
UKAT welcomes the opportunity to meet with professional addiction referral staff and would encourage you to arrange a face to face meeting with us where you can learn more about our services and the programme of treatment we provide for clients. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information or to arrange a meeting at a UKAT facility at a mutually agreeable time.
Referring to You
Unfortunately, we are not always in a position to help every individual who contacts us. We are very busy and our reputation for providing a high standard of care for patients means our service is in high demand. While we may not always be in a position to accommodate those who contact us, we do not like to turn patients away without providing information regarding an alternative solution to their needs.
To that end, we would like to be in a position to refer clients to you. We would, therefore, be grateful if you could indicate if you wish to be a part of this onward referral service and provide us with more information regarding your expertise and service.
It is UKAT’s aim to help as many people as possible who require treatment for addiction. As we know that we simply cannot help everyone who gets in touch with us, we want to be in a position to provide appropriate information regarding a suitable alternative treatment provider.
Please contact us if you wish to be included in our onward referral scheme.
