UKAT is pleased to be able to offer our clients a variety of different drug and alcohol rehab treatment programmes for overcoming substance abuse and addiction. We know that entering treatment is one of the most difficult decisions a person dealing with substance abuse faces, so we endeavour to create an environment that encourages openness, honesty, and positive decisions in a supportive environment. We believe this kind of environment offers our clients the best possible chance of complete recovery.
We offer a 7-day treatment programme that combines both detox and psychotherapeutic treatments. Clients can use it as their one and only treatment option or as a springboard to ongoing therapies once the programme is complete. The top priority of our 7-day treatment is to help patients work through the withdrawal process safely and as comfortably as possible.
Why Withdrawal Is Necessary
Addictions to drugs and alcohol have profound effects on the body and mind. Before the mind can be effectively dealt with, the body must first be free from the toxic substances within. This is accomplished via detox in a process known as withdrawal.
The withdrawal process utilised by UKAT is always medically supervised and geared toward relieving as much of the anxiety and discomfort as possible. Detox and withdrawal are by no means pleasant, but our trained professionals use medications and specific withdrawal strategies that make the process much more tolerable.
Rest assured that our approach is a holistic approach that has been designed to address body, mind and spirit. Medicated detox can alleviate some of the symptoms of withdrawal while psychotherapeutic treatments address the mind and spirit. We encourage all of our seven-day participants to utilise psychotherapeutic treatments as much is possible during their stay.
In addition to medically supervised detox, our 7-day treatment also includes counselling and advice to prepare clients for discharge. Through counselling sessions, clients can learn about a variety of topics, including:
the root causes of addictive behaviour
how addiction affects family relationships
reintegrating into work and social life
developing coping and avoidance strategies.
UKAT welcomes clients suffering from any form of substance misuse, abuse or addiction. We also offer treatments for those suffering from co-occurring conditions (dual diagnosis). Our 7-day treatment programme may be just what you need to get on the road to complete recovery.
If you or a loved one is experiencing any kind of struggle with substance abuse, we invite you to contact UKAT today. Our holistic approach to recovery can lead you to a better and brighter tomorrow free of the addiction that now controls you. Freedom is possible; we want to help you achieve it.
